  Syllabus of Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission - Preliminary and Main Examination



 

  Today, we will know the syllabus (syllabus) of the Civil Service Examination of the Civil Service Examination of the Union Public Service Commission and the Main Examination (Main) in Hindi (Hindi).

  UPSC CIVIL SERVICES PRELIMS EXAM SYLLABUS

  Syllabus for preliminary examination of Civil Services organized by Union Public Service Commission


  The Pre-Civil Services Examination is of total 400 marks in which there are two compulsory papers of General Studies Paper (General Knowledge Paper) First and General Studies Paper II.  This exam will be objective type.  Keep in mind, prelims is only a trimmed test, its marks are not in the overall score of the entire exam.



 

  The Commission (UPSC) has set 33% minimum qualification marks in Paper II (which is colloquially called CSAT) of General Studies of Prelims (Prelims).  This means that its digits are not in the integers of the prelims.  In the Prelims Exam (Prelims Examination), only marks of 1 are scored.


  If you cross the cut-off marks for that year based on the first paper's notes, then you will get admission in Civil Services Mains Examination (Civil Services Mains Examination).  But the condition is that if you do not bring 33% (66 marks) of at least 200 in paper 2, then you will not get admission in Mains exam.


  As you know each question paper will be of two hours duration.  However, both the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and the Civil Services (Mains) Examination, both visually impaired and unable to walk and candidates suffering from cerebral obstruction, whose inability affects their working ability (writing) (disability up to a minimum of 40%).  Twenty minutes of extra time will be given per hour.

  UPSC (04/2019-CSP) has released the notification for Civil Services 2020 and Forest Service 2020 Examination soon.

  UPSC SYLLABUS for PAPER II- (200 MARKS) DURATION: two hours (not prescribed for the rule given in the mail, but the question number needs 33% marks);

  Prelims Paper 2 Lesson - (200 Marks) Duration: Two Hours (This will be a qualifying paper requiring 33% marks)

  • Understanding

  Skills-communication skills (interpersonal skills including communication skills)

  • Logical ability and ability (logical reasoning and analytical ability)

  • Decision making and problem analysis ability (logical reasoning and analytical ability)

  General Ability (General Mental Ability)

  Basic degree qualification, numbers and their interrelations (numbers and their relation, orders of magnitude, etc.) (of the tenth standard level), data interpretation data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency (data sufficiency) etc. -  Of tenth grade level).


  Be aware that in objective type question papers negative marking is done for the wrong marks given by the candidate.

  UPSC CIVIL service passes in main exams

  Syllabus of Civil Services Main Examination of Union Public Service Commission

  The rank of a candidate in the Civil Services Examination of the Union Public Service Commission depends only on the main and total marks of the interview.  The total marks of the interview is 275, while that of the main examination is 1750.


  There will be a total of nine papers in the written examination (main) main examination.  But only 7 of those points will be added to the final merit ranking.  The remaining two will be just qualifying papers.


  Qualifying papers - Paper A and Paper B (Qualifying papers - not counted for final ranking)


  Paper - A - Indian Language - Syllabus Indian Language - Syllabus


  One of the Indian languages, which is included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution, is to be selected by the candidate for Paper-A.  This letter will not be compulsory for farmers residing in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim.  The full section of this paper is 300.  The qualifying marks in this paper is 90 i.e. 30%.

  5. Translation from English to Indian language and vice versa (English to Indian language and Indian language to English)

  The full section of this paper is 300.  The qualifying score in this paper is 75 i.e. 25%.
